Coastal Weather for British Columbia Mariners (CD)

Environment Canada donated a stack of these to us to distribute when they discontinued selling them. Hence we offer them free of charge while they last.

Time to get one now, while we still know what a CD is. Ideally add to an order as this will not increase shipping charge — else 4oz shipping fee.  This CD ROM contains material from both the West Coast Marine Weather Hazards Manual and The Wind Came All Ways which focused on the weather in the inner south coast waters of Georgia Strait. Both of these excellent books are out of print, likely permanently, plus used copies are very expensive.

PLUS much more in this CD, including a wealth of background information on the formation of winds, waves and clouds. A section on the weather patterns which affect the entire west coast of Canada includes weather maps and animated satellite pictures. There is even a virtual tour of the Pacific Weather Centre where the marine forecasts are produced.
